What's Happening this week at KLA!


  • Some high school students will be retesting STAAR EOCs on December 10, 11,12. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Turner.
  • Dance to the music of the 1950s; wear your bobby socks and t-shirts; join us for a dance with our home school friends on Saturday, December 14 at 7 pm. The cost is $10 but parents are free and KLA students who arrive early to help decorate get in free.
  • House meetings to celebrate if they achieved their goal and strategizing if they did not next Friday, December 20.
  • We will be closed for the holiday break from December 21 through January 5.  Classes resume on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Public Comments on Proposed Rulemaking

TEA recently published a correspondence requesting school districts and open-enrollment charter school publish on its website links to TEA's web pages that house proposed rules of the commissioner of education, State Board of Education (SBOE), and State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC).  The intent of publishing these links is to encourage public participation in the process of making rule changes.  The links are as follows:
