Dr. Theresa Kauffman, Superintendent/CEO and Founder of Kauffman Leadership Academy has designed a purposeful salary schedule. In an effort to operate in line with our philosophy that "We are all in this together," every employee of the Academy earns the same salary, $35,000. Building a community that has different responsibilities but all are equally valued and important for the success of our students.

Kauffman Leadership Academy is located in Cleburne, Texas, opening as a charter school in August 2016 for 6th graders through 10th graders. We have added the 11th grade this year and they will become our seniors next year. The Academy features small class size, longer class periods to learn, longer school day with no homework, a 200-day instructional calendar, a cultural lunch hour each day with guest speakers from the community, a Chromebook for every student, giving back to our community through service and a safe, bully-free environment to learn.

Kauffman Leadership Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Where excellence is the expectation.

To thank Texas Representative DeWayne Burns for his support, we gave his office this classic map of Texas.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
